Scoring in the league has changed.There will be trial ends (AGM 2024) Item 7,2 in the constitution refers.
All teams must play the agreed number of ends (18) as decided by the clubs at the AGM unless bad weather intervenes, when both captains may agree to shorten the match.
Games should normally be played on Thursday evenings. However they may be played on any day in the week commencing on Monday with the agreement of both club
No fixture may be re-arranged without consulting with the league secretary. (rule 9.)
As to why the host club for the NGL Presentation event provides the refreshments:
Some may think it is unfair on the hosting club as it appears to be an expense but back in 2014 it was decided at the AGM that the subscriptions of £50 would be halved and that together with the raffle money would go to the club and not to the league, thus saving each club at least £150 till they had to host the presentation event again.
